BARIATRIC REVISION
A specialized weight loss solution
for post-gastric surgery patients
Bariatric revision, also known as transoral gastric outlet reduction, is a non-surgical procedure specifically designed to improve quality of life for patients who have regained weight after a gastric bypass procedure.
During Gastric bypass, a surgeon creates a communication between the stomach and the jejunum called a gastrojejunal anastomosis or outlet. However, over time, the hole, or “outlet”) becomes larger, which makes it difficult for a patient to feel “full” while eating. Because patients do not feel full, they continue to eat past the point where they should, which contributes to weight gain after the surgery.
If you are a post bypass patient that is now struggling with weight gain, we finally have a great non surgical option to help you regain control and accelerate your weight loss. There is no downtime after bariatric revision and patients can return to their normal activities by the next day.

Doctors may recommend the procedure to some patients because it offers certain benefits, including:
Not everyone is a candidate for the OverStitch procedure. This is because weight gain may not be a result of an enlarged opening into the stomach. Talk with your doctor to see if Overstitch surgery is right for you.
Post Bariatric Revision and ESG Insurance $1,995 must be purchased at the time of the first procedure to be valid:
When it comes to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, understanding your diet is crucial. Refined carbs, including refined starch and starches, can often lead to challenges in achieving your weight loss goals. These regined carbs are processed and stripped of essential nutrients and fiber, causing quicker spikes in blood sugar levels. As you embark on your weight loss journey, consider making informed choices about your carbohydrate intake to support your progress.

You Won’t be Able to Resume Eating Normal Foods Immediately After Your Procedure. The Diet Progression Starts with Clear Liquids, Moves onto Full Liquids, Followed by Soft Foods and Eventually Regular Foods. This Gradual Diet Progression Ensures Optimal Healing and Minimizes Pain or Discomfort from the Procedure.
Clear Liquid Diet – Aim for 48-64 Fluid Ounces Per Day and take small sips every 15 Minutes.
Choose sugar-free, non-carbonated beverages that contain less than 10 calories per 8 ounce serving. Examples include water, Hint Water, Fruit2O, Mio Drops, Crystal Light, True Lemon/True Lime Packets, Sugar-Free Jell-O, Sugar-Free Popsicles and Decaf Tea or Coffee (no cream or sugar). Hot or cold liquids may not be tolerated as well.
Avoid caffeine & alcohol too. Take a dose of MiraLAX daily for the first 2 weeks.
Full Liquid Diet – Still aim for 64 fluid ounces of sugar-free beverages per day while increasing protein intake with two or three protein shakes/day (look for 20-30 grams of protein per serving with less than 200 calories & less than 5g of sugar).
Soft Diet – Congratulations, you have reached Stage 3 of your post-op diet! This is an exciting step towards meeting your nutrition goals. During this phase, it’s important to transition from pureed food to soft foods that can be mashed with a fork. Your protein goal should still be around 60-90 grams per day
Fortunately, there are plenty of options for soft foods – including eggs, soft-baked white fish, canned chicken/tuna/salmon (mixed with mayonnaise or plain Greek yogurt for the right texture), deli meats such as chicken, turkey and ham, as well as tofu and other soft vegetable proteins. Plus, real cheese, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese and plain or light Greek yogurt are all good sources of protein that can be added to meals. Other recommended items include legumes such as lentils and refried beans as well as non-starchy vegetables and unsweetened applesauce – but only after your daily protein target has been met.
Your meal pattern should stay the same: three meals a day and one snack – all small but packed with protein. Make sure to start each meal by eating your protein first; in addition, don't forget to stop drinking 15 minutes before eating and wait 20-30 minutes after eating before drinking again. Doing this will ensure you get the right fluid intake while avoiding any discomfort caused by overeating.
We recommend to all patients to live healthier after your procedure. Your focus should be having 3 meals daily with an optional snack in between if necessary. Additionally, for the next month or so it is recommended that you have 1 protein shake per day to ensure you are getting the desired 60-90 grams of protein intake daily.
When creating your meals, the main priority should be choosing a dense, quality protein source that takes time to chew properly. This will help keep a feeling of fullness for longer periods and should make up about 75% of each meal. If after eating your main protein portion you still feel hungry within the 15-20 minutes of consuming food, add some non-starchy vegetables as a side dish. Deep fried or breaded items should also be avoided while trying to achieve weight loss goals.
Even though the texture of the diet changes during Stage 4, it will still be necessary to maintain a minimum intake of 60-90 grams (or more) of protein and 64 ounces (or more) sugar free liquids per day. To maximize potential weight loss results it can also help with continuing exercise habits while adjusting intensity and/or duration accordingly. With these dietary and lifestyle modifications however, success is likely if they are prioritized and practiced regularly.
